Role of a bridge
A bridge can mediate between trading-platform order flow and external connectivity, handling mapping, routing and execution-state translation where the architecture requires it.
Not every architecture is identical
Do not assume an external bridge is mandatory for every modern MT5 deployment. Native connectivity and other designs may be available; architecture should follow actual counterparties and requirements.
Symbol mapping
Maintain controlled mapping for symbols, precision, contract details and venue-specific identifiers.
Order-state translation
Define how platform states map to external acknowledgements, rejects, partial fills and cancellations.
Routing controls
Routing rules should be explicit, testable and protected by role-based permissions. High-impact changes require auditability.
Monitoring and reconciliation
Correlate platform orders with external execution records and alert on unmatched or inconsistent states.
Resilience
Plan for session loss, stale prices, slow responses and downstream outages. Recovery should preserve state consistency.
